Pandemic Pursuits
What have I been doing? Well aside from working
from home I have also been able to get into the office;
maybe 5% of staff is there, so it’s easy to social dis-
tance. But for fun and my mental well being, I have
been adding to my RC aircraft fleet. The latest pro-
ject is a De Havilland DH88 that, when done, will
have an 80” wingspan and be powered by twin elec-
tric motors. The originals were built for the 1934
England-Australia MacRobertson Air Race. It is cur-
rently framed and covering has been started. Next
step is building the twin motor nacelles. -Bob Boon
